Meet new people and have fun at our various children & young people activities we offer. New members are always warmly welcomed.

Busy Bees

Who we  are

The Busy Bees group is a safe and friendly environment for babies and toddlers to play. Learn and explore with other children. Grown up’s can have fun too! and dads don’t be shy!

Activities Include:

  • Messy Play

  • Singalong

  • Storytime

  • Music

  • Celebration of different cultures

  • Art and Crafts

  • Baby Yoga

  • Seasonal themes

How much does it cost?

 

A voluntary contribution  £1.50 per child. Includes lots of fun activities, play with toys snacks and
refreshments for the children

 Childminders: £1.50 per child

 

Refreshments available for adults

DanceXplosion

Mondays 5 - 6pm

DanceXplosion is a Wakefield based Dance Company committed to delivering fun and engaging dance and movement classes in schools and the community.

 

DanceXplosion provide fun and engaging dance session in Street Dance  to children.

 

Learning outcomes from engaging in DanceXplosion:

 

1. Special Awareness

2. Taking Turns

3. Standing In Line

4. Listening

5. Respect

6. Following Directions

7. Sharing

We welcome new members. Educating children through movement and song. Watching a child enjoy dance and get
excited about movement — now that is magical!

Non-combat martial arts for children.
Classes available for ages 5+

New members very welcome.

It’s a health-based martial art. Of course, it does simulate fighting stances but you are not learning how to fight. Great for meditation!

Happy Heathy Holidays

WF Happy Healthy Holidays aims to keep children and young people active during the School Holidays by providing free activities and healthy food. WF Happy Healthy Holidays is for school age children (Reception to year 11) who receive income-related free school meals.

We are busy planning Happy Healthy Holidays activities for 2025. Come back soon for more information about Easter activities.
