The St Swithun’s Community Centre is a warm and welcoming building situated in Wakefield’s City Centre with quick access to all major routes. Here you will find everything you need for a great event or meeting all under one roof.

Our Centre is the perfect venue for to suit any event from meetings and networking events to parties and classes.  We have 8 well equipped, comfortable rooms and spaces available to hire including an IT suite, a modern conference suite and an activities hall that have been designed specifically with both corporate and community events in mind.

Whatever the purpose of your meeting we can adapt the layout and facilities of the room to suit your individual needs and requirements. We have Wi-Fi connection, OHP’s, flip charts, multimedia projector, TV, video/DVD, and whiteboards.

The building has disabled access, toilets and offers free parking.

As well as offering tea, coffee and refreshments, our ‘Cafe On the Moor’ staff can provide delicious catering services. Please ask for more details when booking.

The St Swithun’s Community Centre boasts a convenient central location, being close to the M1 and M62, and just a short 1 mile walk from Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station or within easy travelling distance from Wakefield Westgate Railway Station.

All rooms are fully accessible with a lift giving access to the upper floor.
