day 1
What a brilliant start to our Easter sessions of #hhh2024 We had a fantastic visit from Ben www.central-alliance.co.uk this morning where we learned all about rocks and their history, and we also got to see the cool machines used to dig through the Earth!
We had lots of fun collaborating this afternoon and celebrating our uniqueness in a world full of life.
Day 2
Easter 2024
Today we were joined by the brilliant Andy for the second day of #hhh2024. We practised teamwork and enjoyed the fresh air and spring sun for a morning of sport.
Then we channelled our inner chefs, designing and making our own fruity pancakes!
Chris Croxall from #WDH joined us this afternoon to deliver an Easter Egg to each of the children!! Happy Easter Everyone!!!
Day 3
Happy Healthy Holiday #HAF2024
#hhh2024ended the week with a fantastic trip to RSPB Fairburn Ings and St Aidan's. We explored the natural wildlife and spotted lost of insects, birds and even a friendly frog!
Children had fun climbing the tree house, building dens and pond dippingfor tiny creatures. It has been a brilliant day of adventuring accompanied by parents and families!

#HAF2024 Happy Healthy Holidays has kicked the year off with a bang!
The brilliant Andy joined us this morning for a healthy dose of completion playing rolling ladders and dodgeball got our hearts pumping and our appetite building
After a wonderful selection of freshly prepared meals from the centre’s café we were joined again by brilliant Andy for a taster course in cooking our own balanced meal!!!
Day 2
For the second day of Happy Healthy Holidays #haf2024 we were joined by Amy and Liz from Wakefield Libraries for a great winter session that challenged our abilities and our imagination. The afternoon we welcomed parents for a range of festive crafts and some extra special New Year Resolutions.
Day 3
What a great way to end the Winter Happy Healthy Holidays #haf2024 Today the children enjoyed a brisk winter walk to #hepworthwakefield where we learned about Wakefield's own Barbara Hepworth and her amazing sculpture works.
Children got to experiment with material, space and shape before returning to the workshop and building their own Hepworth inspired sculptures!!! What a fantastic day!!!
Summer 2023
Week 1
All the children had a great time during our first week of Happy Healthy Holiday activities. #HAF
We had an amazing visit from Sarah who showed us lots of fascinating information about the world of construction at #morgansindall
We prepared a fantastic and healthy summer popside treat!!
Paula from #evergreen joined us for an exhilarating afternoon of outdoor activities building team skills and competitive spirit.
On Wednesday we ventured out to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to see the fantastic wild animals and their silly antics.
We had a very special visit from our local Police Community Support Officers on Thursday morning where we got to explore a police vehicle, try on safety vests and helmets and even have a blast with the siren! After the lunch we joined the learning team from The Hepworth Wakefield to play, stack, build, experiment, draw and imagine at Queen Elizabeth Park

On Thursday afternoon at #HAF was filled with a fantastic visit from the Hepworth Wakefield where children got to develop their team building and design skills whilst building marble runs and dens in the park!’
Children had a very special visit from our local Police Community Support Officers where they got to explore a police vehicle, try on safety vests and helmets and even have a blast with the siren! Children learnt all about staying safe during the summer holidays and wowed the officers with their own paper police vans. #HAF
Week 2
Week 2 of Happy Healthy Holidays #HAF kicked off with a wonderfully wet litter pick with Chris from WDH, the children enjoyed splashing in puddles whilst they cleaned up the streets of the local community. The afternoon was filled with crafts and a visit from the Wakefield Fire Service. All children were amazed by a demonstration of the body board, the huge smoke clearing fan and wore helmets whilst sitting inside the engine. Looking forward to another busy week ahead of us.
On Wednesday HHH ventured out to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to see the fantastic wild animals and their silly antics.
Children watched polar bears play and swim, played a game of hide and seek with the red pandas and walked alongside the wonderful wallabies and lemurs!!! #HAF2023

In the morning we had a very special visit from Caroline at the #RSPCA . Children learnt all about how to care for and protect their family pets but also the wildlife around them. Fran; the dog and children had a fantastic time enjoying lost of cuddles and interaction. Thank you to Wakefield and Leeds RSPCA for their wonderful donation to our Community Pantry. #HAF2023 During the afternoon the children have a brilliant time taking part in variety of sporting activities with the amazing Paula from Evergreen Active. Children have developed team building. #HAF2023

In the afternoon the children have a brilliant time taking part in variety of sporting activities with the amazing Paula from Evergreen Active. Children have developed team building. #HAF2023
#HAF2023 ventured out to Cannon Hall Museum today to discover the art of portraiture with @Bsly_M_Learning and to explore the grand house. Children had a fantastic time learning about proportions and drawing whilst making self portrait, enjoyed picnic dinner on a beautiful open field and visited the servants quarters below the house. One day left, what a brilliant two weeks it has been!!!
For the last day of this summers #HAF2023 the lovely Jane from Iss education for a special day of yummy healthy meals, children made a tasty pasta dish, learnt about and sampled the vegetables that go into making coleslaw and enjoyed the delights of a courgette and lemon bun! With a final reminder to the brilliant two weeks, children took home their very own healthy eating t-shirt that they designed and made using their newly learnt computer skills.
What an eventful time we have had, stay posted and we look forward to seeing you all for the next round of Happy Healthy Holidays!
Autumn 2022
Happy Healthy Holidays #HAF2022
Today was the first day of our spook-tacular Happy Healthy Holiday sessions and what a frightfully busy day it was! Children had fun creating movable mummies, stuffing petrifying pumpkins pillows and even enjoying our own hand-decorated creepy cupcakes!
Summer 2022
To kick things off this Summer we enjoyed some fun activities, talked about each others family tree and enjoyed a home made lasagne.
The following day Andy form Family Fit came to play lots of fun games with us. Thanks a lot Andy! After having our lunch we took part in some craft activities before heading back outside to finish the day playing more team games.
To end this jam packed few days, kids took part in lots of arts and crafts, music, team games and much more.

Spring 2022
Well, its been another fantastic day for all the children attending the Happy Healthy Holiday Camp at Eastmoor Community Project today!
This morning was packed full of really fun arts & crafts and sporting activities, followed by a delicious and nutritious meal.
In the afternoon the children loved taking part in the litter pick walk
in the glorious sunshine. We had a lovely surprise visit from Chris Croxall, Tenant Involvement Officer from WDH who rewarded all the children with an Easter Egg for their hard work.
All the activities this week have been designed to encourage the children to be healthy, active and develop new skills.
Day 3 of Happy Healthy Holidays today at Eastmoor Community Project!
Today the children spent most of the morning playing dodgeball and other fun activities outside, burning off lots of energy, making the most out of the fabulous weather! We also received a visit from Karen from Wakefield Library Services who read books to the children. Everyone enjoyed interacting with the stories, laughing and singing songs. After a nutritious lunch, the children took part in lots of craft activities themed around the environment and world around us. We can wait to see what they all get up to tomorrow.
